NVC AWARENESS COURSES 

This qualification is designed to provide training for people who wish to teach conflict management skills. It is aimed at individuals who already hold or are in the process of obtaining recognised teaching or presentation skills training, and who now require a more specialist qualification.

This qualification is designed to provide the knowledge, understanding, skills and comprehension for those individuals who wish to teach physical intervention training skills. The course covers the knowledge, understanding, skills and comprehension required to plan, deliver, assess and evaluate a learner’s physical intervention skills to a competent standard.

Already qualified trainers who wish to map across their knowledge, understanding, skills and comprehension to the Institute of Conflict Management in order to deliver physical skills training courses.

Already qualified trainers who need to requalify to teach physical intervention and handcuffing skills. You should already hold an in-date licence to practice (ie; certificate) to deliver both courses. For those trainers with either of these qualifications through a different awarding organisation we can map across your current qualification.

This handcuffing course is designed for staff who from time to time may have to use cuff restraints as a temporary immobilisation device to preserve and maintain the safety of the individual concerned.

For staff who work in Children’s Services, Education, Care, Residential, Fostering and other services and settings where there may be a need in the person’s best interest to use force to positively handle or prevent further harm from occurring.

Individuals and staff who are concerned about their personal safety and would like to develop strategies to support current policies and training towards conflict resolution.
