NVC AWARENESS COURSES 

We provide a wide range of courses, from conflict management, physical intervention through to handcuff skills which are designed to improve overall staff safety across workplace settings.  We work with you to set and maintain standards which aim to prevent, manage and resolve challenging, aggressive, and violent behaviours across all workplace and social settings.  Courses we deliver include but are not restricted to:​

  • Conflict management, conflict resolution, de-escalation, preventing and managing violent behaviour, challenging managing behaviour, lone working, physical intervention (ie; disengagement, breakaways, self-defence, positive handling, restraint holding and searching) and the safe application and removal of personal protective equipment (ie; soft-cuffs, handcuffs, limb restraints and soft restraint systems).

  • Courses are delivered to varying group sizes, which will be confirmed depending on the needs and learning outcomes of your course.

  • In addition to your registration and certification, you will receive a comprehensive learner handbook and certification through a recognised national awarding body.   

  • Those attending Trainer courses will also receive a current and up-to-date trainer’s manual of guidance, powerpoint, lesson notes, resources and materials to support the delivery of their own courses.

 

The philosophy behind all training courses is to reduce the need for assertive communication or physical intervention techniques!

This qualification is designed to provide training for people who wish to teach conflict management skills. It is aimed at individuals who already hold or are in the process of obtaining recognised teaching or presentation skills training, and who now require a more specialist qualification.

Post training support
