Who is the course designed for?
Already qualified trainers who need to requalify to teach physical intervention skills. You should already hold an in-date licence to practice (ie; certificate) to delivery this course.
For those trainers with this qualification through a different awarding organisation we can map across your current qualification.
The successful completion of this course will enable you to deliver physical skills programmes across a wider range of work sector settings, including Education, Children’s Services, Health and Social Care, NHS, Local Authority, Hospitality, Retail, Transport Services (ie; Air, Sea and Rail travel).
Course syllabus
Pre-course evidence of continued professional development over the past 12-months:
Completion of a course knowledge check
Review professional and legal implications relating to the use of reasonable force
Deliver physical intervention skills training (ie; micro teaches)
Demonstrate application of physical intervention skills techniques
Observation assessment of you delivering physical intervention skills techniques
