Who is the course designed for?
This qualification is designed to provide training for people who wish to teach conflict management skills.
It is aimed at individuals who already hold or are in the process of obtaining a recognised teaching or presentation skills training, and who now require a more specialist qualification; for example, teaching conflict management skills to staff in customer facing / service-user roles.
Course syllabus
Upon successful completion of this course you will:
Know how communication can be used to solve problems and reduce conflict
Know the factors that influence human responses in conflict situations
Know how to assess and reduce risks in conflict situations
Know how to communicate effectively and de-escalate conflict in emotive situations
Know good practice to follow after conflict situations
Understand the principles of scenario-based conflict management training
Be able to plan and design scenario-based conflict management training
Be able to deliver scenario-based conflict management training
Know how to evaluate own performance

You should already hold an in-date licence to practice (ie; certificate) to deliver both courses.
