Vicarious liability. If you're looking to bring somebody into your company organization to deliver training or offer support, advice, or guidance, then you are responsible for ensuring that you check and do your due diligence.
Does the provider or the person you're bringing into your organization have the appropriate levels of qualification, knowledge, experience?
In the UK, the term expert or consultant isn't often used by people, isn't often liked. But somebody who offers their advice and guidance to information that's given to them can be considered to be an expert or a consultant, depending upon their field.
But remember, if that advice, or guidance, or training turns out to be flawed, then you'll have a level of accountability regarding the fact that you brought them in to deliver that training.
