Did you know that every school has its own set of lockdown procedures in place, based on national guidance combined with the individual vulnerabilities of a school?
Key principles being that “everyone needs to know how to respond in a lockdown situation” from the most senior person on site to the youngest pupil.
Lockdowns can also be prompted by disturbances in the local community, meaning it would be unsafe to allow children outside.
