NVC Awareness provide training and support to improve your confidence and safety when managing abusive, disruptive, challenging, aggressive and violent behaviour across all sectors; education, health & social care, housing, hospitality, retail, NHS, public services, transport services and security.  


Our training and courses are nationally recognised by BTEC, Edexcel/Pearson, BIIAB, ICM, ROSPA CPD, SIA , and include Teacher/Trainer qualifications.  We can support you with risk assessment and a step-by-step training needs analysis.  For example, where there is an evidenced need for physical intervention (non-restrictive and restrictive holding) you will also know and understand strategies regarding conflict management, communication skills and the law and legislation regarding the use of reasonable force.  Techniques taught during our courses have been risk assessed and medical reviewed


NVC Awareness employ staff with a range of legal qualifications, and frontline operational comprehension to deliver specialist training courses to support and manage children and adults with special educations needs and disabilities. 


We provide full-day, half-day, online, blended (online and

face-2-face), workshops, twilight courses and presentations.

Our team of highly experienced training consultants provide a very high quality of professional advice, guidance and expert opinion to clients within the police, prison service, security industry, NHS, social care, educational settings and other related work sectors. 

In addition to being representatives on a number of national sector groups, we continue to support Regulators, Senior Leadership Teams, Staff, Staff Associations, Service-users and family members with the associated issues regarding the ‘prevention and management work-related challenging, aggressive and violent behaviours’…in line with the Health and Safety Executive definition!


We have been formally instructed in cases ranging from injury incidents during training, injury incidents in police and prison custody and deaths during restraint; involving allegations of excessive or inappropriate use of force. Our team are experienced in the provision of oral evidence at court, written opinion and expert reports for civil and criminal courts, inquests, tribunals and workplace internal discipline hearings.  


We are experienced at working with solicitors in support of claimants, defendants or as a single joint expert.
